An Arp That Goes
Beyond
Little Arp Monster is a MIDI arpeggiator that goes well beyond the usual. Build highly musical patterns from notes, chords, and rests, let them evolve across an arrangement, and turn up Spice when you want ideas no traditional arp would ever land on.
Compose, don't just repeat
Little Arp Monster is the arpeggiator for musicians who want to compose, not just repeat. It pairs with any synth you own: build a motif on the step grid, let scenes and the Arranger carry it through a track, and shape every accent with a modulation lane that locks to your notes. The same tool that lands a classic, tasteful arp finds ideas you would never stumble on yourself a few turns of the Spice dial later.
Features
Randomization and Spice
Little Arp Monster's randomizer is tuned to stay musical. It hands you patterns worth keeping, and every one stays fully editable. A Spice knob sets how adventurous it gets: keep it low for classic arp motifs, turn it up and the arp starts borrowing color tones, swapping degrees, and weaving in more complex rhythms. Patterns you would never stumble on yourself, often the seed for a hook or main theme in any style.
A Step Grid for Fast Ideas
A 16-step grid where you place scale degrees, full chords, and rests, then pick which steps fire. It works in degrees, not fixed notes, so everything stays in scale. It is a new way of thinking about music: a fast, playful way to compose that keeps throwing up fresh ideas, and melodies you would never have discovered otherwise.
Scenes: Room to Vary
Most arpeggiators are one loop forever. Little Arp Monster gives you 16 scenes, each with its own settings and step grid. Use them for gentle variations on one idea, for completely different motifs, or anything in between, then switch between them as the track moves forward.
Arranger: Take Your Motifs on a Journey
A motif should evolve, not just repeat. The Arranger makes it happen. Swap a triad for a sus4, shift the pattern's degree to build a progression, transpose the key, or switch to another scene entirely, all exactly when you choose. One idea, reshaped as it plays. Always varied, never boring.
Modulation That's Part of the Motif
A modulation lane is part of every scene. Shape Velocity for accents, Cutoff to open the sound, Decay to lengthen notes, or any CC to drive your synth, and it locks to the same steps as your notes. Vary the pattern or switch scenes and the modulation follows, with the movement always matching the motif.
Drag MIDI Out When You're Ready
Like what you hear? Drag it straight onto a DAW track as MIDI and keep editing from there. What you drag out is exactly what was playing: same notes, same timing. (Desktop only, as iPad hosts do not support dragging files onto a track.)
